Our Story
Who We Are
TSA – The Shipping Academy was founded in Singapore in 2014 with a single purpose: to bridge the gap between academic theory and the commercial realities of the shipping and maritime industry.
Led by Kenneth Tan (CMILT, M.Sc Maritime Studies, B.Sc Economics), a veteran with over 35 years of experience in shipping, project cargoes, and logistics, TSA has trained professionals from MINDEF, Jurong Port, BP, Unilever, NTU, SMU, and dozens of other leading organisations.
We don't just teach shipping — we work with the industry. Our programmes are continuously updated with real case studies, live market intelligence, and first-hand operational insights.
